Top Public Schools Serving Elkton
I like Elkton because it has many shops and stores with a small town feel. You can walk to many places in town. It is also beside a lovely national park, Shenandoah National Park. There is a park with tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground and walking track. Elkton has a variety of housing, including new and old, mobile homes, apartments and single family homes. The weather is consistent, with four seasons and not very many extremes throughout the year. There are many churches in town, one for many denominations of Christians. Finally, there is an elementary, middle, and high school located close by for your child's education.
I love Elkton more than any other place I have lived. It is truly family friendly and everyone knows everyone (in a good way). Neighbors literally bring you veggies from their homegrown gardens and everyone waves when you walk by. Kids can play in the yard without worrying, since everyone looks out for everyone.
My experience in Elkton has overall been very good. I still have some problems with racism being that there aren't that many black people in the area. I sometimes hear whispers and get looks like I came from a different planet. Not everyone is like that but many people are. I have tried my hardest and for the most part many people are very friendly. There isn't much activity for children but the stores and restaurants are great.
