Elkhorn is a great place to live! It is very family friendly and has a great school system! It is growing quickly!
Elkhorn is a rapidly growing community with several great options that make driving closer into Omaha unnecessary. From many dining options to shops, everything is ready and convenient.
My community of Elkhorn, NE is ranked as one of the highest in the nation when considering our ACT and SAT scores. It is a small town which is located very close to Omaha, NE. This is the best of both worlds. We have the advantage of living in a small town, but also all the opportunities that a major city can provide. Our community is fortunate in having a large number of volunteers for our various organizations. This fosters an environment for our children to thrive. I can think of no better place to live.
It's a very nice place all of the facilities are great the community is nice and people are welcoming, but there is low diversity. People aren't inherently discriminatory, but the people living here are well off and that kind of makes it hard to feel like you belong.
It is a very good place to raise a family. I would not suggest going there for the night life though.
I absolutely love Elkhorn. It's a perfect balance between large city and smaller town. The education opportunities through Elkhorn Public Schools are unmatched and extremely helpful.
I've grown up in Elkhorn all of my life and it's hard for me to move away. It's in a great location, minutes from Omaha and shopping with still having that small town feel. Although the town is vastly growing, the school system is only getting better. I will always be so thankful for the education that I receive through Elkhorn Public Schools.
I really enjoy the area and I have never feared for my safety here. The people are so friendly and watch out for you like family.
It is very quiet and peaceful in Elkhorn. The people here are friendly, and downtown is beautiful. It has a small-town homey feel yet it is expanding. From the mom and pop shops to the bowling alley, it is a great place to live.
I like being located near lots of water and different experiences while still having quick access to Dodge in order to experience city life in Omaha.
Elkhorn is an amazing city. It is not too big but not too small. It has everything that you would want in your home town.
I recently moved out here from "midtown" Omaha, Nebraska. I have been here about 7 months and really enjoy it. It is close to work and they have some great grocery stores out here. Rick's Meats off of 204th is excellent if you want fresh, high quality meat. There is a gym close by, Common Ground, that has everything anyone would need to stay or get into shape. The local restaurants are great in the downtown area too.
Cool little town. Downtown has a few unique shops and restaurants. Very small town with great feel and plenty to do. I work, go to school, and go to church in this area.
I moved to Elkhorn from a surrounding community, and I have absolutely loved it. As a high school senior, I am currently enrolled in the best high school in the state as documented in the newspapers (highest test scores and highest ratio of AP courses). I have had the opportunity to take extremely challenging courses with teachers who care and take the time to make sure I understand and that I am prepared for college.I love the small, close-knit community. Elkhorn is very close to Omaha, so I have the small town feel with a larger city available for when I want to go to concerts or sporting events.
Elkhorn is a small community, but it is quickly developing. I feel that we have one of the best school districts in the nation that fully equips its students for college and their future careers.
Everyone is so friendly. Great neighbors, incredible schools--my public education there really helped prepare me for college.
I went to school there's for 9 years. It's safe and fun, and you have to visit dairy chef. There isn't a ton to do there though.
