Elk Rapids Reviews
I was incredibly inspired by the location of Elk Rapids and all it has to offer in terms of entertainment and night life. Although it certainly isn't the biggest town in Michigan, it would give Lansing a run for its' money in terms of beauty. While in Elk Rapids you can enjoy one of our many local beaches, which have become a favorite spot of many locals, or take your pick from a multitude of restaurants spanning from an authentic Louisiana style, all the way to Italian inspired cuisine. There is never a dull moment from local live bands to harbor days which boasts a full week of incredible attractions, bargains, and plenty of fun! Whether you're thinking of taking a weekend vacation or planning to move the family, Elk Rapids has everything you're looking for ten fold.
I have enjoyed my time living in Elk Rapids for the most part. It is a lovely quaint town on the water—perfect for adventures in the summer. There are a few good restaurants and some interesting little shops along the main strip; however, it is an extremely small, and access to any sizable entertainment centers requires driving at least a half an hour to any larger town.
Elk Rapids is not only surrounded by the most beautiful lakes, but it also has a sense of community and was a wonderful place to grow up. I lived there for the first 18 years of my life and loved every second of it. I could ski in the winter and tube in the summer. Go to my high school football games in the fall and take scenic hikes in the spring. The perfect place to raise a family or retire.
