I love Elk Grove! I moved here when I was 8 years old all the way from Los Angeles and I do not regret it at all. It is a beautiful area with a lot of trees everywhere. The community is also very clean, you will almost never see a piece of trash on the ground. I think this place is perfect, there is never a lot of traffic compared to other places like Los Angeles and it is a very calm area as well which is perfect for kids. The education here is exceptional, the Elk Grove School District has done an amazing job with how the school system is functioning. They truly care about the future and safety of the students. I will say however, living in Elk Grove is not so cheap, it costs to live in such a perfect area like this one but at the end of the day you do not have to worry about finding a well paying job, children not receiving the best education, traffic, etc.

Schools are great, and it's a very safe town! It's also pretty affordable for Northern California. People here drive stupid, though, and have an obnoxious propensity for attaching rubber nuts to their gigantic trucks (which they then park across 2-3 spaces). Plenty to do, but public transportation could be better. For nightlife, you'll want to head into Sacramento.
Nothing really exiting happens in Elk Grove. It is a suburb of Sacramento. I am 16 years of age and Elk Grove has been quiet all my life living here. It has really expanded into a better city than before. It is a very safe city in my opinion. The culture and the atmosphere of people are really kind and generous. Our city is really known has the city of trees. Streets and clean and neat. As a teenager in elk grove, I have done possibly everything in this city. Elk Grove is basically sitting in your car thinking about what to do. That is if you are a teenager. The neighborhoods are modern like and very nice. People are kind, for example my street. They are very generous and we all know each other. We are all friends and we care about our safety. If you want to live somewhere safe come to Elk Grove! Oh yea they need to build the mall already!
