Elizabethville is a small rural town in central Pennsylvania which connects other small rural towns in the area known by locals as "the Valley". Although there are not many attractions in the area, the residents find comfort in the small town feel and quiet environment. A few minutes outside of the actual town is an area which houses a Walmart supercenter, a CVS pharmacy as well as a few other stores and fast food establishments. Overall it's just like any other small town in PA so others seeking a fast paced lifestyle may find better luck somewhere else.
The area that I live is a quiet little block or so, where on one side there's a town and the other woods and a mountain. The neighbors are friendly, but most people just mind their own business and go on with their days. It is a typical town in Appalachia. People lean to the right, go to church regularly, and take pride in our country. I think that my neighborhood is similar to many you'd find in small towns across the Southern United States and also the Midwest. I see the area generally improving. There are always new businesses popping up and entrepreneurs coming up with ideas here. I would not choose to live here again. Not that I think it is a bad place, but I prefer a more urban landscape.
