Many parents would consider Elizabethtown, Kentucky their dream town. It is a small town with a little bit of everything. There are three public high schools in Elizabethtown. Downtown Elizabethtown is the historical part of town while the rest of Elizabethtown is more modern. This is a very safe town with friendly residents. This is the type of town many return to after college because it is the perfect place to raise a family at. Neighboring Louisville give residents a short trip to a city with even more to offer. Elizabethtown also has a community college that many high school graduates choose to go to. This town continues to grow and expand. A new movie theater with reclining seats was recently built along with an indoor trampoline park that. Those are two of many places kids here love to attend. With everything close by makes getting to a from a store or place very convenient. Elizabethtown, Kentucky is the perfect small town.

It is a small town full of illiterate hillbillies, with not much to do or see. That being said, the community college (ECTC) is rather nice; they are very accommodating. Elizabethtown is rather close to Fort-Knox, so people often hold a high respect toward the military here. I see army brats everywhere. I also experience cat-calling and sexual harassment here much more commonly than other areas I've been to in Kentucky. I hate it here.
The nightlife in Elizabethtown is practically non-existent, but it is relatively safe. The healthy living factor is not very high, for there are not really any healthy events hosted and nearly restaurant establishment is fast food. The public schools do coordinate with each other on a regular basis though.
