I have lived in El Segundo for all of my life and I would have to say that its an incredible city to live in. For the families with kids who are looking for a great place to have their kid go through their K-12 years, El Segundo has their Elementary, Middle, and High School all within walking distance. Along with the schools themselves being excellent. El Segundo has some great and original family owned restaurants that have been there for generations. Lastly, El Segundo is a 5-10 minute walk to their named El Porto beach, so it is convenient for beach goers to have a good time in the Spring/Summer. Overall, El Segundo is a great place to live in California because everything is so close to each other and the city is superb. I hope to live here my whole life!

I have been blessed to live in El Segundo. We are a small town in the middle of Los Angeles. You would not know we are in the middle of Los Angeles unless you were to venture outside our community.

I have been able to have a true childhood in El Segundo. Which is rare in the midst of the Los Angeles County Area. We are super safe community. We have the best police and fire employees ever.

I was able to enjoy our great parks and Recs we have here. I was involved in many sports through them as well. I was able to walk around with my friends and play outside growing up.

They call our town Mayberry by the Sea. It is so true. We have a Main Street where different community functions and get together's are held.

I also have life long friendships and so many adults that are like my other parents. Our community always rally's around our neighbors and community in time of need. Something you don't see as much anymore in this world!

I am grateful I was able to grow up here.
Even though I have not lived in El Segundo my whole life, I have still felt that welcoming presence from this community. El Segundo is a tight-knit community that prioritizes its relationships with the individuals in the community itself. I have never felt unwelcome or unsafe in this community, and this community has provided me with amazing educational opportunities especially through the local high school (El Segundo High School). The school system was the main reason I moved to El Segundo, but the lifetime friendships I formed and the loving relationship I have created with this community have benefited me in ways that are more than just educational.
