El Dorado has many opportunities for family fun, such as: parks (both splash parks and grassy kinds), new tennis courts, local small concerts, the Dam Music Festival, the El Dorado Lake, and various other things.

USD 490, the school district, is a good one and provides it's students with Apple based technology so that they may learn and work on their assignments. Recently, two new elementary schools were built.

During the summer, two different programs are set up to help feed and give children free meals. USD 490 offers free lunches to any student in the area, while the Glow Bus offers free lunches to set locations and travels around to them.

The only downside to El Dorado is the lack of a recycling program, which was discontinued this year. El Dorado, while it has it's jobs, does not have as many jobs as the bigger cities have, but does have quite a few.

I love El Dorado! It is a perfect environment to grow up and learn in. The people are super encouraging, helpful, and uplifting. It is a wonderful community to seek opportunities in!
Small town atmosphere with some bigger city things to do. El Dorado has the best of both worlds with thriving small businesses, great public schools, a growing job market and much more. It is a great place to raise a family!
