Edmonds is rarely in the headlines. It flies beneath the radar, never venturing into the extremes in cost, politics, excitement or identity. But this 'unremarkableness' is what makes Edmonds special. It is a place where you can live pleasantly and comfortably. Where you can go for a walk in a quiet neighborhood, but not have a long trip to the grocery. You can find a sports team or community group to connect with, and still, not feel like you are lost in a crowd. You can enjoy peace, tranquility and beauty offered by mountains and sea, but also grab a beer after 9 p.m. (as long as you don't get too noisy).

Edmonds is a place of balance. And while that doesn't garner media attention, it does create an environment for thriving.

What I love about living in Edmonds, WA, is that it is a small and quiet city. The scenery is beautiful and we are not far from the Puget Sound. Downtown Edmonds located right at the beach area, and there are lots of cute local shops to go too while you enjoy your day at the beach. People are friendly in here and I got the sense of community within the people around my area. I do not want anything to change in Edmonds and continually having the small and quite city feel.
Nice, safe area. Very cozy. As a current resident as well as student, I have sufficient knowledge to say that the area around Edmonds is great for families, especially those with young kids or are planning on having kids. The public schools are above average, with diversity adorning the schools from middle schools to high schools to the community college. There is an abundance of food and restaurants in the area, especially teriyaki and pho places.
