I have been living in Ecorse, Michigan for only four months and I have to say that it is a quiet and safe neighborhood. There is not much to do in Ecorse, so it is very family friendly. The cost of living is affordable for even low and extremely low income families. The city of Ecorse is very diverse, which makes the overall environment friendly. The stores are pretty much nearby and that alone makes it easier to commute. One thing that the city of Ecorse can improve on is more parks for kids to play, more schools and day care centers and more businesses in general.
Here in Ecorse, you will come across several different personalities, but everyone is family. Local neighborhood business owners know their clientele by name. Neighborhood clubs, such as the Lions Club, embrace the flaws of the community yet continue to provide positive enhancements for the small community.
