I lived in Eastpointe for 15 years and I have seen many things while living there. Even though it's a small city it has many things in it that puts it on par with other big cities: big name restaurants, salons, homes with pools, etc. I have grown up and seen people come and go as the city started to go downhill. Many of the roads started to crack which in turn caused bad road conditions and more accidents. Also many well known businesses started closing but in turn people started to open up there own business and I have seen them become very successful. So if you want to know Eastpointe is a good starting place to open up your business and expand from. Last but not least I have never been to there high school but I heard many bad things about it to the point that they had to change there name from East Detroit to Eastpointe High School, but you will have to see for yourself if it's the right place to take your child too.
It is quiet, peaceful, and socially oriented. Eastpointe has a diverse mixture of many different ethnicities that all blend well together.
It is the embodiment of neighbor helping neighbor. Residents all maintain their properties. There no boarded up or vacant properties that pose an eyesore or bring down the market value of existing properties.
I'm proud to be an Eastpointe, Michigan resident!
