East Northport Reviews
Quintessential American suburb. Neat houses with two cars parked outside, sycamore trees proving a canopy of dappled light on the sidewalks where kids ride their bikes and neighbors host barbecues. Situated on the north shore of Long Island, East Northport provides a variety of beaches within a few minutes drive. The greatest city in the world is a mere hour away by rail, though you may drive if you choose to endure the traffic. There are decent paying jobs in the area to support the largely educated workforce. These benefits come at the expense of a high cost of living and a tight housing market. One could wish for more housing options but things are congested as is.
East Northport is a great neighborhood to live in. It is a place for families. Everyone is very friendly and the school district is great. There are many great places to eat and the beach is about 15 minutes away.
East Northport contains several surrounding towns which creates diversity amongst all ages. You live close enough to Northport that you can appreciate the harbor but also close enough to the town of Commack where you have several activities. East Northport has a family feel community where you are able to feel safe and also welcomed into the community
East Northport is great, it's very central to the Island and has some fun things to do! Lots of places to eat
Beautiful town, lots to do, except real estate is expensive. Schools are very good and the high school has lots of AP, IB and extracurricular activities.
Excellent restaurants including local pubs and brewery. Updated library. Local theatre and community events , tree lighting as can exxmple. Excellent school district and parks/recreation for kids. Beach and hiking trails nearby with events during the summer.
It was easy to sign up, the platform is navigable. I was prompted to sign up and enter my personal information, which I did accordingly. The aesthetic of the website is enjoyable. The information regarding scholarship opportunities is informative.
It is overall a very good experience to live in East Northport. The schools are very good. The neighborhood is pretty safe and is family friendly. There are many parks and beaches close by.
I love East Northport for the comradery of the town. Everyone is willing to help one another. This is a very close knit town with few flaws.
The downtown village area is beautiful. However, the cost of living here is very high, and we are barely getting by, even though my mother has a good job. The school is great, and you get a solid education. The arts and music programs are excellent, but the art program is getting cuts in order to focus on sports, which is not always an area this school excels at. Big drug problems, particularly heroin, prescription drugs and weed, once you get into high school.
There are very close public services and the safety in this town is great.
Experience all seasons and they are not too extreme.
There are many parks, it's very suburban so there aren't any nearby woods/accesses to nature.
You pretty much need a car to get around.
I love the summer, it is my favorite of the four seasons because I am able to go to the beach. When it rains in the summer on a typical Sunday family beach day, it does put a damper on the week. When it snows there are plows that go by and do their job of snow removal and the sanding that goes along with it.
I do not necessarily know if this area is a tourist attraction; however, it is beautiful. Toward the end of the summer starting in August there are events that go on every week in downtown Northport. There are old cars and vendors and music; it is a really fun time.
