East Meadow is a beautiful area on Long Island. It is close to NYC, Jones Beach, Old Westbury Gardens, The Hamptons, Eisenhower Park, Nassau Community College, Adelphi University, and Hofstra University.

Delicious food can be found here in East Meadow at Presto Pizza, Ciro's Pizzeria and Restaurant, and Ka Wang to name a few. McDonald's, Sonic, and Wendy's are just around the corner.

From 7 Eleven to Costco (just up Merrick Ave in Westbury), East Meadow has it all!

I grew up here, and a lot has changed over the years, they've tried to keep up with the times in regards to what's available, and they have done a pretty good job. There's a lot of places to eat, plenty of job opportunities in the town/nearby neighboring areas. Wish that maybe there was a little bit more of a nightlife (i.e.; bars, or other activities other than places to eat), but you're right by a lot of neighboring towns that do. By all parkways, and several train stations. Wish the main part of the town (East Meadow Ave.) was a little bit more built up, but it's not terrible. The housing market is pretty much what you'd expect throughout south shore Nassau County currently. 15 minute drive to the nearest beach and 45 minutes from NYC, which is great! Overall though the community is very safe, family friendly, has a wonderful school system, and is a great place to consider if looking for a home.
All in all a convenient place to raise a family. Lots of amenities. Diverse population. New construction everywhere. People building larger homes.
Best feature is central location, near all highways and shopping. High taxes, excellent public schools. Downside getting very congested .
