I'm here for college and if you like to sightsee or go out at night, there isn't much to do here. The city itself isn't bad, it's just...boring in my opinion. There are a number of bars here near Michigan State University on Grand River ave., but if you're looking for other things to do besides getting drunk at bars, you most likely wont find it in East Lansing!

East Lansing is one of the largest college campuses in the country with an overall student body of about 50,000. The community itself has a lot to offer and recently has gone through lots of road and building construction to make East Lansing a more appealing area. Obviously, the city has absorbed Michigan State University which makes East Lansing a big hotspot for student nightlife and general living. Great place to live and the surrounding community is wonderful too.
East Lansing is beautiful college town! It is diverse, vibrant and active! Family friendly with great public schools and a booming real estate market, East Lansing is a wonderful place to live.

East Lansing and Michigan State University is such a wonderful location! Michigan State University is at capacity with enrollment and trying to find ways to accommodate incoming students. Because of this East Lansing has seen a multi million dollar boom in development in the area for housing which is both bad and great. We have many wonderful live acts, politicians and world renowned individuals come to the University to speak. EL is the place to live!
