Not the best place, not the worse place neither. I love east Lansdowne for a lot of reasons. very diverse( 50% black, 30% white, 14% percent Asians, and 5% all. where else can you find such diversity?), east commute to the city, east access to the surrounding and store, overall rating is B- source (Delaware County safety niche), big houses, bigger streets, nice people. The only problem for me is the school system is rated C- with all this taxes but inadequate school system.

I like the tree lined streets. The close proximity of shopping and transportation. The people are friendly. There is a mixture of different cultures. The borough keeps the streets clear after snow storms. They issue bags to pick up leaves during the fall and borough workers us a machine to clear the streets of leaves. East Lansdowne to a neatly kept place to live.
We have grocery, clothing, and two Rite Aid stores with some smaller restaurants and Wawa. Employment for this area is ok, you can get a job because the malls and other outside areas are close by and easily accessible. Most of the homeowners have outside jobs.
