I like that it is a small town. My kids like their schools. Hemet has affordable living and is a very casual town. It is in close proximity to mountain living such as a small town called Idyllwild. Safety is always an issue her and it seem that crime has gotten worse over the past couple of years. There is a lot of history her in Hemet such as the Ramona Pageant which is the longest running outdoor play in the United States, or so I've been told. If you like the heat Hemet is the place for you. It gets very hot here and doesn't typically cool down until late October or even late November. There are many family businesses here that have been around for a long time and many of them are very involved with the community.

One bad thing is all of the marijuana use. Just remove all the marijuana shops and growing facilities and it will be an even better place. It's great to live out of town. It has been difficult since the road closure. Please drive safely as this far east, there are not many street lights.
I moved to Hemet almost 10 years ago. I moved here to be closer to family. At first, I completely loved it. Over the years, the town has gone down hill. I still feel safe and love the schools my children have attended but while driving through town I see more homeless and drug addicted people. It makes me sad to know that people are struggling so much with finances and drugs.
