East Hartford is one of the most diverse and true towns. I definitely think East Hartford is mistakenly known as a “bad academic school.” East Hartford High School does not deserve its reputation that it has. The students there are studious and hardworking where they strive to succeed in life. I do think with challenging teachers or a challenging academic route will definitely help the students towards a future. The town itself could vary to look presentable or not. It really depends and you must research to find a nice and safe area to live in. House prices are affordable, but definitely look into the neighborhood. There are very few areas where people should be weary of, but if you avoid it, it will not be bad. The people there are nice, but they are honest which is what everyone needs in life. In conclusion, do not not visit because you hear their reputation of being unsafe and “ghetto.” Visit it and your perspective may change.

East Hartford is an average town. There are some areas that can be sketchy, but overall people mind their own business and there also some nice quiet neighborhoods. Taxes are high and increasing, infrastructure not so good, very boring and nonexistent nightlife. You would need to travel to downtown Hartford for nightlife which is nothing special in itself. Town is definitely extremely diverse with all different types of ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. School system is underfunded, has a lot of great teachers however, also some poor ones. I love East Hartford because I’ve lived here all my life, but I wouldn’t recommend living here overall.
East Hartford does not have much to do but it does have some very nice people. East Hartford is a nice place to raise a family. Quiet but very close to the capitol and many areas of entertainment. East Hartford is extremely diverse and at times has many great qualities. For example our very large stadium, Rentchlers field, where massive football games are played. I've grown up in East Hartford and I can say that the town molds many humble and bright people.
