I love East Hampton! It's one of the safest towns in America and it's very beautiful. The beaches are second to none and the summers are very nice. However, the summer also sees a dramatic rise in population from city residents who own houses out here. Getting places gets very difficult, it can take up to an hour to get from East Hampton to South Hampton, which is only 13 miles away. The public school system is pretty good, even though the curriculum is hard many students graduate and get into great colleges. I'd give East Hampton a 97 overall.

This town is very nice, its safe, it has a suburban feeling, but it is too expensive. There are fun things to do in the summer with family and friends, but summer season gets too crowded, so traffic is the worst during summer time.
East Hampton is a very small town, and the cost of living is very high. That is one thing I would like to see change- to make the area more affordable for locals. There also isn't much for night life; people usually need to drive to Montauk or Hampton Bays. However, growing up here was very nice. It's surrounded by beaches, and is a very nice area. There is rarely any crime here and the school system is fantastic.
