The town of East Greenbush is fairly small, with a population of about 4,500 people. But the town is big enough that you barely know anyone unless you go to work or school with them. Also once your kids have finished middle school at Goff, they will know most of the kids in their class at Columbia. One key problem about this town is that there isn't much for kids and teens to do in the town. The only things are the YMCA, Library, after school sports, after school clubs, Fun Flex, or get food.

East Greenbush is a quite place where you can walk around Hampton Manor lake and see fish, ducks, geese, sea gulls, muskrat s and turtles. There are plenty of places to shop or sit outside your house in the sunshine. You can also go cross country in the winter or sleigh down the hills of Red Mill elementary school.
It's a nice, relatively small suburban town. However, there is very little to do outside of eating at chain restaurants. The public schools are pretty good and the neighborhoods are super safe.
