Douglas was an ideal place to place for my family. It provided the local need of a decent school system but provided good youth sports programs that way kids can grow. Although the town might not be that big it sure does have big heart. With all the different family events the town offers, like October Fest, you sure do get a sense of community.

I would review Douglas, MA as a small bedroom town that does not want to allow business into it. Because of this, taxes are out of control, the school system is going down with alot of lay offs and cutting things, such as sports, music and art etc. To me these are things that every school should have for their students. I have not traveled much in my short 20 years of life so it would be hard for me to rate another state or town by just reading about them, When I am out of college I do plan on traveling and discovering first hand the differences and then maybe it would be time to move. The toen of Douglas is very country and spread apart, but with the high taxes and cutting of the school budgets I can see the town losing residents.
The town of Douglas Massachusetts is a great small town to live in. Great school system and many great families. If you are into hiking and being in the outdoors then you can live right in the state forest and the middle of nowhere or if you like suburban life then you can live in one of the many developments within the town.
