Earlville Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 4 reviews
I have only been here a year and feel sort of stuck because this town is a middle ground for my job and my husband's. It is very affordable and mostly quiet, but I do not feel like I fit in here. A neighbor reported my dog to the police and the policeman issued a warning about my dog's noise...though he stood in my backyard and listened as my dog barked for five minutes. I am sure my dog felt he was threatening our home...why would someone just stand in my yard for no reason unless they were threatening my home. So I received a warning but I feel common sense was lacking in the neighbor and the police officer. My plan is to only be here another year and then we are gone. I do not want to make this place my permanent home after feeling so unwelcome in my first couple of months here.
Love my hometown! It is a great place for kids to grow up and the community really cares for their kids. The downtown is great, it has great food and great people.
Affordable and safe. Earlville even has a nice public golf course and a drive in movie theater. I especially love the quaint downtown. Great apartments there at low rates... less than half of the cost of the western Chicago suburbs.
