I have lived in Eagan my entire life and have seen tremendous growth in the city! I really like that it has just about everything you could need in terms of shopping, restaurants, schools, and recreation. It is also only about 5-10 min away from MOA, which is a plus! They just recently built their own outlet mall, which is beautiful. Besides shopping, they have activities for people who enjoy other things. Lebanon hills park is located in Eagan. It is a HUGE park and an absolutely beautiful place where you can hike, run, walk, swim, paddle board, ski, and much more. Eagan also has bowling, water parks, and yoga studios. One thing I would like to see improve about Eagan is their library- it is very small compared to some other libraries and not very many quiet rooms to go and study. Overall, I love Eagan!
If you are looking for a small suburb, mini mouse footsteps quiet city, Eagan is the place to be. It is a gorgeous city full of culture and diversity. Located in Minnesota, south of the Saint Paul area. Eagan is known as the 14th best city to live in Minnesota since 2012. Eagan has a lot of open land to explore if you're a outdoors adventurist. If you love football it has the Vikings training stadium being built which is open to the community to watch the vikings practice seasonally. Eagan Is a family oriented community, its a home warming space. Neighboring Eagan is Bloomington, where the Mall of America Is located, which is one of the worlds largest malls. Eagan is a Fantastic place to live and grow a family! There are many resources and conveniently close shopping areas, and many public schools and even Colleges such as Rasmussen College. I love living here!
I moved to Eagan a little over a year ago. In this year, I can't say that there is much I can complain about. Eagan has got it all, and I find it easy to access both the Freeway and the Highway. It's full of lakes, and parks where you can take a stroll and/or enjoy a barbecue. I worked at the Target in West St. Paul which is a little over a 15 minute drive, and I went to High School in Mendota Heights which was around a 10 minute drive (if I took the highway instead of the freeway). Personally, I didn't mind the drive. To me it feels like I get home in no time. Now I work at the Best Buy in Eagan, and the longest it takes me to get there is seven minutes. I also live really close to the Eagan community center which has got an outdoor gym, a splash park, a small body of water with a trail around it, and indoor gym, and an outdoor gymnastics area.
