I think Dysart for the most part is a safe place to live. It's a cute little town that really tries to have activities through the spring and summer months. Your kids car run around and be pretty safe. It has a swimming pool, grocery store and a couple places to eat. The downtown is cute and suprisling has cute shops and coffee shops. The only thing is that it's a 20 min drive to Waterloo and 30 min drive to Cedar Falls, where most of the jobs are. The school district is spread out so your kids will have to drive 15 to minutes to school everyday in La Porte City which I'm not a fan of. Also a lot of drugs comes in the school system from Waterloo. But all in all Dysart itself is a quite safe town.
Dysart is a safe quiet bed town. There are opportunities for young families and people of all ages. There are cute shops uptown and many other things to see and do.
The town gym has only been in existence for a little under six years. A local high school football coach and entrepreneur wanted a place for our football boys to work out during the summer and saw a town gym as a prime opportunity not only for bettering the football team but also to get Dysart on track to having a healthy populous. The building was renovated and state of the art equipment was purchased for the new gym. It is inexpensive and accessible to everyone.
