If you're not Catholic, it will be hard for people to accept you. But if you are, this should be a great place to live. However, if your kids go to the public schools, they'll be looked down upon.
This is a very nice community, with many caring people. There are many places to go and things to do in the area. There are lots of great stores around as well.
Very loving, small town. Growing up here was always safe, peaceful, and fun. Neighbors are close just like the whole town.
I love being a resident of Dyersville. Dyersville is a clean, small community in Iowa, but we have great pride in our City and especially the Field of Dreams, which is our biggest tourism attraction! Dyersville is home to friendly residents who take pride in being homeowners and keep their properties well maintained. We also are home to the Basicila of St. Francis, one of only 56 minor Basilica's in the USA. Dyersville is definitely a great place to live, work & play!
I love living in Dyersville. It has a bunch of good places to eat, and the people are so nice.
Its small town Iowa. There are plenty of things to do, you just have to go out and try new things.
We have great food here. Beef, pork, chicken dominate the market. but there are many other options as well.
Dyersville has no public transportation, the population is too small to support it.
Dyersville has a great bike and walking trail system. There are several parks located all across town which make the city very family friendly. A lot of people who are born in this area stay here for the rest of their lives. Others may move a way for a while, but most of them come back to live back in the area after a while.
The emergency crews are fast and reliable.
There are many things to do outdoors
The only season that most people dread is winter because we can get some rather large amounts of snow at times.
Since it is a small town, the cost of housing and utilities isn't the best but it is manageable.
We have a decent variety of food options, but we do not have many big chains in Dyersville.
There are many places for teens to find a part time job while still in high school.
We have everything in this area besides the big clothing stores.
Busy cities are within an hour of our town, so if employment is scarce in town, finding employment near-by is easy.
