It is a very nice town very close to Scranton with all of the amenities of convenience. It is quiet and friendly, but close enough to everything that you can get access to everything you need and then escape back to the quiet essence of Dunmore. The people in Dunmore are very friendly. The properties in the area are very well kept. And there are many employers within a very short commute. Additionally, it broders Scranton City, so there are the benefits of being in close proximity to a medium-sized city that enhance the quiet nature of Dunmore without negatively affecting it.
One can find coffee shops and many excellent restaurants. There is an abundance of food opportunities that can offer a person a different dining experience for several weeks straight. Dunmore has the right mix of a small community feel with the ability to fulfill any need a person can have within a short drive. Most often a brief ten minute drive will fulfill just about any need.

Dunmore was a great place to grow up and raise a family! It is safe because everyone looks out for one another and the school district wants their students to succeed! Small town but with larger modern amenities just a drive away! Also close just a short drive to the country side.
I lived in dunmore during high school. Sports were heavily emphasized. On weekends the norm was to party.
