I had no issue living in Dumont when I first moved in. There are a lot of options for food and entertainment. I am not happy that my taxes keep going up and not seeing anything to merit the increase. The roads are awful, when it snows the side streets are dangerous since they never heard of pre treating roads or the use of salt. If you look at homes for sale I see Dumont has the most people selling in the area which says a lot
Dumont is a quiet, hallmark-movie-like town. The area is safe and the people are friendly. Although the area is small there are many great extracurricular activities offered, as well as volunteer opportunities.
Dumont is a small but populated, diverse, and close knit town with the schools all relatively close to each other and offers several local food places to choose that are conveniently located in close proximity to the high school; additionally, there are fast food chains nearby located in neighboring towns with some being just outside the town border. There are several parks in Dumont, the main park being Memorial Park where events may be held throughout the year such as Dumont Day. People are friendly and welcoming and those who reside in Dumont take pride in calling it their home.
