DuBois Reviews

I grew up in Elk County and just recently moved to DuBois. It’s the closest city in a tri-county area that has the most job opportunities and affordable housing. It’s shopping selections have gone downhill over the years but the city sits no more than 20mi away from the interstate so getting down to a bigger place like Pittsburgh for shopping needs is a breeze!
DuBois is the perfect mix of small town and good business. There's always something to do, but it's never crowded. With new businesses popping up often, there is always somewhere new to explore!
Dubois has a major methamphetamine and alcohol problem. It's rare to see an intact family structure. Very few male role models in the community and lots of men who are addicted, depressed and uninvolved. Racism and homophobia are common. Very conservative and vocal about it.
The positives are the outdoor activities, lots of restaurants, and low cost of living.
