great area - wonderful bike/running trails. Would be nice to be more bike friendly
In the greater Cincinnati Area, there are some cool things to do like Reds or Bengals games, but other than that there is not much.
There is very little crime in my community. The police are prevalent and resolve any issues that occur.
Housing in this area is of great quality, there are very few condemned/vacant homes in this community.
Cincinnati has great parks which I always enjoy visiting!
There is very little bar/nightlife options in my area, but there are a ton of restaurants and lots of variety in food.
Employment in my area is very good, jobs are available to those who are looking for work.
Local business in my town are great! I can always find everything and anything I need.
My only complaint with the housing is that many of the houses look alike, so there isn't any variation when you're driving down the road.
In the part of town I live in, there is very little major crime. The cops, though you don't always see them perusing the streets, when they get a call, they are on it. I once called 911 when I thought my house was being broken into and within 3 minutes of making the phone call, two cops were in my driveway.
You never know what kind of weather you are going to get in the Cincinnati area. Just recently, we had a freak snow storm where some areas were covered with up to nine inches of snow. Now, just three days later, we have temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s. Also, a month ago, we had temperatures below freezing, at one point it was over -10 degrees out. Then, the next week the temperature was back up int he high 30s and low 40s.
Because of the Beechmont strip, which is the main business road in the area, there are plenty of job oppurutinties for people. Many people who get jobs at the companies and restraunts on Beechmont are high school students that go to the two high schools in the area. The largest employer in the area is Kroger. Anderson has what residents call a "disney-land" Kroger meaning the store is huge and carries a variety ethnic foods.
Perhaps the best restaurants to go to in the Anderson area is Smokey Bones, Butterbee's and Jersey Mike's subs. These are the most popular restaurants available to residents and visitors. Smokey Bones is a bit over priced for what a customer can get, but the quailty is very nice. Butterbee's is the opposite: the pricing is excellent, but sometimes the quality of food isn't great. Jersey Mike's is similar tot he change restaurant Subway, but with better quality ingredients to their sandwiches. The price is a but high for sandwiches, but residents will mainly choose Jersey Mike's over Subway.
If you are in good health and shape, then you can easily find a job.
