I have lived in Douglas for majority of my life. It has brought me many memories, and introduced me to some of my favorite people. Although it is a boring, small town with not much to it, I have learned to deal with the blandness of the town. From the three pizza shops in the same one mile radius, to the two Dunkin' Donuts, it has become a joke around town that Douglas has nothing to do. However, Douglas truly is a beautiful place to be. It experiences all four seasons pretty significantly, and does not fail to show its beauty every season. It is a nice town for families, as not much goes on. It has become a close knit community throughout the years, with many families becoming friends around town.

Douglas is a great small town. I have lived here for over 10 years and have made many friends living here. People that I know do not stay in Douglas at night unless it is in their own home. I feel very safe in my home not worrying if there will be intruders or any crime in my area. The people in the are very nice and kind to people who enter their shops. The center of town has the most places which include three separate pizza restaurants.
If you are looking for a small town with four pizza places, four schools and an iconic ice cream place, Douglas is perfect for you. There are many different events that are special to the town and everyone seems to know just about everyone. The one down fall that I would change is the school systems. They seem to constantly change and are so widely spread out that it every summer, something changes. I would want to bring the music program back again as it was a vital part of my childhood. Other than that, the town is a perfect sight when driving down Route 16.
