Dobbs Ferry is your typical suburban town. Conveniently has a train station that goes to Grand Central Terminal. Dobbs Ferry offers trendy eateries like the Dawg House and the cookery. Residents are not always that friendly and the public school system is subpar. Dobbs Ferry is really what you make of it!

Great town, with small town feel, close to NYC, great Hudson River views! Great for families and kids. Great schools!
I loved living in Dobbs Ferry. If you live right in the heart of the Village like I did, everything is within walking distance. The waterfront park is terrific. There is a New York Times 4 Star restaurant right off Main Street along with several other great places to eat. Pubs, sports bars, sushi, Italian: great food on every corner. The community comes together any chance it gets: a street fair in the late summer, a Halloween parade for kids (and pets!), and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony (where a menorah is lit nightly as well) are some of the community events I cherish. The DFHS Football team had a great record for a few years running, and the Village honored the teams with a parade at season's end. Some Dobbs Ferry families have been there for many generations. It is one of those places that once you get there, you want to stay.
