My family of four including me, having been living in Dixon for 3 years now. We enjoy the tranquility and peace away from the larger surrounding cities. The weather can get pretty warm but not too bad. The school my son has been attending is awesome. The teachers really care about their students and the children all get along very well. Downtown Dixon always holds block parties, parades, beer feasts, and family activities like the Dixon May Fair. The town is steadily growing with new businesses and chained-companies , (i.e. Dutch Bros., and Habit Burger ) are always popping up and running. The people here are genuine and like to have a good time. My family and I are very happy that we settled in this small town. We plan to stay for a long time.

I've lived in Dixon since I was five and growing up here is completely different than most towns. Since agriculture is major thing in this town, you see fields and animals all around. Everyone knows each other pretty well since the population is a couple thousand. I would consider this place to give you a small town experience since we don't have a mall or a ton of activities to do for fun. we do have Walmart, Safeway, plenty of parks. This is not a problem for many people since we have cities nearby with a lot of things to do. I really like living here because of the small town feel and the quietness of it.
Great place to grow up or raise a family, but few opportunities for life after high school. Perfect location for commuting to Sacramento or the Bay Area. Downtown has potential, but businesses frequently go out of business.
