Dix Hills is a great place to live! Lots of trees, very quiet, very safe, and has a great school district. The only complaint I would have as an adolescent is that it is hard to go anywhere without a car and there are limited options for entertainment at night.

My experience in Dix Hills has been great so far. I moved here when I was 6 and lived here ever since. During my time here, Dix hills has been a very peaceful neighborhood with very friendly people. People here keep to themselves and don't protrude into other peoples properties. The local businesses here are very excellent and professional, with many services being available for the residents. the food scene here is amazing, with excellent variety of restaurants that serve many different types of delicious cuisine. Education in Dix Hills is also excellent, as the Half Hollow Hill Central School District serves this town and the surrounding areas. One thing I would change is the access to the LIRR, as the closest train stations aren't in the same town as Dix Hills, which results in paid parking at the station. Other than that, Dix Hills is an excellent area for those who want to live an quiet, luxurious life with access to high quality food and services.
Dix Hills is a very nice area. Tons of huge houses everywhere and extremely diverse. Our school district is rated one of the best , but i wouldn't say it is anything special. Plenty of jewish people in the population if that is important to you Dix Hills is great for diversity! There are no commerical buildings.
