Working in Dillon
Dillon is a nice and quiet small town surrounded by beautiful mountains everywhere you look. The community is extremely welcoming and filled with genuinely good people. Dillons school, the university of Montana Western has a nice small school vibe which makes it easier for the students to focus and have better relationships with the professors. The natural horsemanship program is the reason I chose this school, and I have been more than pleased with the teaching and techniques introduced in the program. Dillon has been a wonderful introductory to the state of Montana, making me want to live in the state even after school.
Dillon is a small college town in South West Montana. It has a great community with lot of agriculture. Jobs are available but not a lot of opportunity for a successful career. It is very nice to walk into the bank or safeway, get called by your first name and know everyone there. The University of Montana Western is a good college that attracts students from all over the states. The main programs at Western are Business, Education and Natural Horsemanship. As for the outdoors, there is no better place for hunting, fishing, hiking, water sports and wildlife viewing. The main downfall is that it is a one hour drive to Walmart and two hours to the closest Costco/Target/Macys, etc. Overall, Dillon is a great little town in Montana.
I like Dillon, its a small college town. Dillon can be fun if you like floating, hiking, or doing anything outside in the summer. In the winter there are sky hills close by (and cheap) and hot springs all around. The night life in Dillon is what you make it, everything is walking distance though so that is nice. Finding a job in Dillon is really hard though if you do need to work and finding a house is even harder!
