Working in Dickson
I love Dickson! It is the perfect small town with all of the benefits of being a little bigger and being close to Nashville. The downtown area is picturesque, and it is always fun to go in the shops and grab a bit to get in the adorable cafes and restaurants. Whenever you're in the mood to experience nature, Montgomery Bell Park is a great place to escape to. Even merely driving through the park, you are surrounded by a serenity that can relax your pulse. To get your pulse pumping, you can hike one of the many trails, or you can go to one of the awesome gyms in town.
I have lived here for 6 years. When we first moved, it was a relatively small town with a cute downtown and an exit off I-40, but over the past few years, Dickson has grown immensely. Downtown has been upgraded and is now a hub of cute antique stores and boutiques, the town itself is growing in population, and everything seems to be taking off in the way of expansion! It still has a small-town feel, but it is still growing as fast as the town can handle.
Dickson, Tn. is the right type of town for anyone. It isn't too big or too small. In the last five years, Dickson's economy has boomed. Multiple new businesses and chains have entered our town, increasing what it has to offer. Although there has been multiple intersections added, the overall traffic flow is good. Dickson is continuously growing, but remains to carry a small town hospitality.
