Devils Lake is a great place to be if you love the outdoors! From ice fishing in the winter to swimming in the lake in the summer. If you enjoy walking on nature trails going to Sully's Hill would be perfect for you! We may not have very many fancy restaurants, but our locally-owned restaurants have amazing meals. If you are looking for a delicious steak, you could go to The Ranch or The Cove; they will not disappoint. Devils Lake is a small and affordable town with friendly people.
I stayed in Devils Lake, ND over the summer of 2020 to babysit for my aunt and uncle. I had passed through many times before and thought nothing of how I felt about the town until I had to stay there weekly. I was very lonely because there were not many opportunities to meet new people due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has been going on but overall I'd say it's an alright town.
It's a pretty small town. Everyone knows everyone. However everyone seems pretty friendly, and it's kinda comfortable here.
