Desloge is a great little town to live in, however over the years the drug use problem has really become an epidemic. I grew up here and after graduation moved away to Georgia for 13 years. After moving back home to attend college and care for my grandparents it became very clear to me that the area had changed dramatically. Meth has always been a problem her but over the last several years heroin has become the greatest problem. Overdoses are the leading cause of death in our young people. It is really sad because it is such a nice little town that has so much potential.

It’s very safe based off surrounding areas. Neighbors are friendly in the subdivisions. Very quiet area.
I like Desloge because it has a low crime rate and has a lot of good people in the community. I think it is a great place for having a family because it isn't close to the city and there's not many people living here. What I would like to see change is more jobs in the area, it is hard to find a job. Also I think there should be some restaurants that aren't fast food in the area.
