I love Des Plaines! My Grandparents, parents and I have all lived in Des Plaines. It is a safe place to live that is only 30 minutes outside of Chicago and other important places including O'Hare Airport. My parents and I have all gone through the public school system and have had great experiences that has not only prepared us for the future, but also making life long frinds that made us all want to plant our roots in this great city.

Des Plaines is a quiet small town located in suburban Chicago. It's a beautiful place to live. We're near the city and Lake Michigan. Growing up I enjoyed going to Lake Park (also known as Lake Opeka) to BBQ and ride my bike! We also have one of the first McDonald's in town, which is amazing to point out to out-of-towners! We do have a variety of places to eat from American cuisine to Mexican, Indian, and Middle Eastern. One of my favorite places to eat would be Tap House Grill in Downtown Des Plaines- comfort food & drinks are my go-to! Stop by and explore when your in town. (:
DesPlaines, Illinois is a suburban city set in the middle between Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. There is an abundance of diversity here, both in people and business. The public school system has a K-8 year round school along with schools that have a traditional calendar. Maine West High School offers every subject that a student would want. There are also many excellent private schools. Sport and the arts are abundant both in school and in the park district. The Des Plaines Park district has their award winning Artistry in Motion Dance Company. There is every sport available: soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, etc to try. For entertainment there is the Rivers Casino, Rosemont Entertainment District, and multiple community events offered throughout the year. Des Plaines puts you right where you want to be. Close to highways, transportation, or a walk down the street, it is all here!
