Denton, Texas is a spectacular town that is a mixture of college town and family living. From the downtown square and their old-time-y businesses to the new shopping areas in northern Denton. I attend the University of North Texas and the campus is gorgeous. Although the roads around the campus need lots of love. Their is a bit of construction on I35 that runs right through the town, but it is going quickly. Everything is cute, has loads of character, and family friendly while still offering places to go for college-aged students. There is parks, recreational areas, and there is bars and lots and lots of places to grab some grub. Now, the food. OH the food! From regular fast food chains to high end restaurants for date night. There is breakfast and brunch places that smash your pancake and mimosa craving and there is late night greasy corner store for all your late night cravings. Denton truly has everything you could need to survive college or raise a family.

What I like about Denton is how beautiful they keep up with the surroundings, it's very nature oriented and friendly people around. Denton is mostly populated with college students, being the Texas Woman's University and University of North Texas is located in Denton. In Denton they have several good spots to eat around the square and many boutiques that won't break the bank. Night life is so much fun, a popular street to go is called Frye street, where you can find many locals and many college students! Overall, it's a fun environment where people are friendly and engaging with surroundings around them. They do yoga on the square in the grass! It's so much fun and definitely one of my favorite activities to do in Denton.
What I love about Denton is that there are many things to do. From going to the Square, the mall, or the Arts and Jazz Fest in the spring. In the summer, you can go see the fireworks on the Fourth of July or go to swim at the Water Works Park. There is also many restaurants that have all kinds of delicious food to choose from. The one thing that I would change about Denton is the roads. The roads are very bumpy and make driving unpleasant. Also, road construction always takes a long time to complete. All in all, Denton is a great place to live or visit!
