A quaint little town with some business and two excellent schools. Most people commute to Sioux Falls for work. Family-friendly parks are scattered around the town. Small Businesses thrive here on a decent-sized population. If you are still looking for a small town near Sioux Falls, I would suggest Dell Rapids over Tea and Harrisburg.

Dell Rapids is the ultimate cozy little town. In Dell Rapids the people are beyond friendly and are super welcoming. The town offers lots of small town closeness. The schools are amazing and super dedicated to education. The local family owned businesses are a great escape form the usual large establishments. Along with the kind people and great community the town is very family friends. With low crime rates and great police safety Dell Rapids is a place for a new and growing family.
My area includes a variety of stores from the small mom and pop grocery stores, to several Walmarts, HyVees, and the like. Though the family owned businesses are not always as well kept looking, they are always friendly and helpful. Farmer's markets are great during the summer for fresh produce, and the grocery stores always stay relatively well stocked in the winter.

From auto repair to bike stores, groceries to paper crafting companies, burger joints to moderately fancy restaurants, I feel that my area is pretty well off.
