Dell Prairie Reviews

Moving from the suburbs of a big city, it was quite the shock to come to such a small town. People think of Wisconsin Dells as the water park capital of the world and a true tourist destination, but I call it home. My grandparents have owned a house up here since the 70's, which is longer than I've been around. As a child, I came up every weekend I could and during the summers, but living here as an adult is different than anything I'm used to and it has its pros and cons. Some of the great things about this town are that you could never possibly be bored during the summer, the tourists bring endless variety to us, and cost of living is amazing compared to where I grew up. Some of the negatives are that there are only a few families who really own/run this town, so advancing or owning your own small business is difficult. Also, the congestion during the summer becomes overwhelming. The last con for me is that during the off-season (from Labor Day to Memorial Day), the entire town closes up by 7 p.m.
Now although I only moved here permanently to help my grandparents, since I've become used to this little big town, I have found a place I call home.
