I think Decatur is a very nice place to live, very quiet, small, and everyone knows everyone. There's one grocery store, a few fast food places, a few restaurants, and a few stores. This can be a little aggravating when you are from a small town that is NEAR a city with mostly everything. Decatur is far from any other city, so if you have to go anywhere other than Walmart then you have to plan a 30-40 min trip there then back. Eventually, Decatur will grow bigger, but until then, to live here, you'll have to be very simple.
I enjoy the community and community programs and events that include all residents and potential residents of Decatur, Texas. It is a welcoming community filled with many fun activities and projects to better our surroundings.
