De Soto is a great place with a small town feel. It is were you will live an easy lifestyle due to easy access to mail, groceries, and education without having to go very far. Missing one star because there are not a lot of food options if you like to dine out.

Great place to raise a family and grow up! Small town values yet close to Kansas City and Lawrence. All access is by highway so either city is accessible in about 10 minutes. De soto does not have much for entertainment so I would change that. But the community is friendly and helpful and everyone knows most everyone else.
De Soto is a very small town and has that small-town feel. The location of De Soto is incredible because you are close to both the country and the big city. The only downside is that De Soto does not have many shopping opportunities or restaurants.
