Davie is a fairly safe neighborhood. I don’t necessarily feel afraid to leave my house and take a walk around the neighborhood. One thing I would change though is the amount of diversity. I feel that Davie needs more diversity but I also understand that it might take a little while before it becomes more diverse. My parent told me when they came here about 17-18 years ago looking for where to raise a family, they drove around the neighborhoods and would see confederate flags hanging up in peoples front yards. So when I think about that I see that there has been definitely a increase in diversity but I just wish there was more in my opinion.
What I like about Davie, Florida is the strong diversity and local amenities. On every corner, there’s a grocery store, or a plaza dedicated to your every day needs. There are also many schools which is a great sign because a town willing to build education screams significance. However, some things I would like to see change in Davie is the homeless people I see. Homeless people are humans and I feel that some people treat them as if they are animals. I feel that such a fortunate and stable community should be able to give to those who are unfortunate. Although you can’t provide them the world, it’s nice to make their day.
