Danville is beautiful! The weather is amazing all year round!
There are several cons though that you must be wary about: Firstly, if you are African American, you probably will feel like a minority here. Danville is high in diversity except for African Americans. At my church, there are only about 10 families that attend, whereas there are 100s of white, Indian, Asian, and Middle Eastern families that attend.
Danvillians are also VERY liberal.
Also, everything is very expensive. Luckily, there are plenty of cheap places to shop in nearby towns, that are under a 20-minute drive from Danville.
However, the minimum wage is high ($14/hour currently) and most full-time jobs will pay you enough to live comfortably in Danville.
Danville, in my experience, has been amazing. The people are kind, the weather is fantastic with no snow and pleasant winters, and the K-12 schools are excellent! This is a great family town.

What I like about Danville is that laid-back and friendly atmosphere. People greet each other with smiles, and additionally they genuinely care about maintaining that the community remains safe and looked after. What I would like for it to change are better enforcement of speeding, especially along Camino Tassajara, there are a lot of people who speed down that way. I also notice a lot of teenagers engaging in underage drinking, so better community outreach towards the harmful effects and consequences. There isn't much to do in Danville, therefore, many teens don't have anything better to do but hang around, party, and do unproductive activities.
Danville is a stereotypical classic suburban town found throughout the United States. Full of mostly families and older married couples, Danville lacks any real sense of creativity or culture from the norm. There's little to nothing to do for teens growing up. However the education system here is spectacular. All of the high schools in the district are very well run and prepare kids for a successful future.
