Home of the carpet capital of the world, Dalton offers numerous venues for meetings, conventions, concerts, weddings, and sport tournaments supported by 1400 hotel rooms. This charming town boasts a superb entertainment district featuring local dining options, bars, taverns, live music, and eclectic shops. We may be world famous for our carpet, but we are so much more than that. From the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, to the gateway of the Civil War in Georgia, there is so much to do in Dalton it will floor you!

Dalton, Georgia is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. Right off of Interstate 75. Dalton, Georgia has a little big city feel. In which, there is always an event of some type at the Wink Theatre or the Trade Center. In Dalton and outskirts, have many a ball field and hidden race tracks. There are 3 convenient Walmarts and a new up and coming mall that will be fashioned much like Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga, Tennessee! In an approximate 5 mile radius, there are a multitude of eateries, shopping centers, pastry shops, and even a Harley dealership! Needless to say, there is a little something for everyone in this little big college town!
Dalton is a pretty laid back town. What I like is how relaxed the town is, as well as the casual car rides through beautiful sceneries. Speaking of scenery, there are a good number of trails worth venturing for those who enjoy hiking through the woods. Businesses have also turned their attention to Dalton, bringing new businesses and renovations. What I would like for Dalton is for there to be more activities in Dalton, especially in a town with the occasional fair and one movie theater. Residents usually travel to other cities in search of fun things to do. Then again, there also a fair amount of fitness locations. Overall, Dalton is a nice quiet town that might need more activities, particularly in entertainment.
