The Dakota Dunes could not get any better, I grew up in this neighborhood, with children playing outside everyday, running around and no parent has to worry about their kids because it is such a safe place. It is very family friendly, and there are always neighborhood bonfires and parties that families throw very often. This huge neighborhood is a big family.
Dakota Dunes is a great place to live, friendly neighbors, good property values, safe for our kids, nice parks, and low crime rates! Close to metro area, but far enough away to feel like a small town.
I love living right on the river. We bout, fish and swim all the time. Adem’s nature center is about 10 miles away which have great walking and biking trails. McCook lake is also close by if the river is not for you. There is a nice public library and there are community events like the chilly feed in November. Dakota Dunes is a really nice small town.
