I absolutely love living in Cumming, Ga. The schools are amazing and my child has improved so much since moving here. It's also a larger town so there's a lot more job opportunities as well. There is a plethora of restaurants to dine at, so it can make making a decision on where to eat a bit hard, but no matter what you pick, you know it'll be good! There's always something going on that is family friendly so you can enjoy more family time. If you can't find something in town, then we are only about 25 minutes from Atlanta where there is even more to choose from!

Cumming, Georgia is exceptionally welcoming to new residents. Marketplace Boulevard covers all shopping needs, and the Avenues/Collection shopping center is conveniently located with boutiques, an AMC theater, shoe stores, and a Barnes & Noble. Local food is delicious and decently priced. Northside Hospital provides quality care, and there are a lot of other new developments and residences with lovely homes. The Cumming Aquatic Center is perfect for summer and winter is somewhat mild since it is located in the southeastern United States. The only downside to this is that when it snows, the state shuts down. The police department is very active, which makes this area safe. Central park, Suwannee mountain, and Dobbs Creek recreational centers provide outdoor activities, as well as Lake Lanier, and the Cumming fair comes every October and many other events take place at the fairgrounds. Cumming is a tight-knit and loving community.
Well, there's plenty of restaurants if you REALLY like chain restaurants. There are only a few locally owned places to eat & dozens of chain restaurants. There's plenty of shopping, if you like Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Kohls. There's not much else to do here. You can drive to the city, which is 45 min away on a no traffic day, which doesn't exist in Atlanta. Or, you can drive to the mountains, which is also 45 min away, but the festivals & fun things to do there only happen about 2-3 times/year. Lake Lanier is 5 min away, if you want to go swimming in a toxic lake, or get run over by the thousands of boats zooming past your head as you try to relax. Kinda sucks living here. Better stay where you are. It's gotta be better than Cumming!
