This is the kinda place people who are tired of the big city life dream about. National parks all around. Plenty outdoor stuff to do. Super friendly people. No traffic. Beautiful windy roads lined with pine trees. Plenty of homes with acreage around. Subdivisions are just now starting but nothing even close to the growth of central Florida.
Not the place for those seeking the high stress city life. While there is plenty more to do outside that is non-nature related; our experience is you can relax and enjoy the experiences you do have in a small, peaceful, beautiful town like Crawfordville. For our taste we love that you can live in the moment here and have actual experiences compared to the city life where one may be think about a thousand things while trying to enjoy a packed trendy roof top bar let’s say.

I love Crawfordville! It is a small town in North Florida, that is within 30 minutes of shopping and nightlife, as well as beautiful beaches.
Crawfordville is one of those small towns where most everyone is smiling and greeting anyone and everyone. Crawfordville, or Wakulla as most locals say, has a rich historical background with our very own sinkhole that's spring fed that was the star location of the cult classic, The Creature from the Black Lagoon. With Crawfordville only a stones throw away from the state capital, traffic has become quite bad. Gone are the days of one traffic light and a single diner, but I wouldn't trade it back because we see so many new faces in our community!
