Crawfordsville has been on a growth path. It is a very diverse community and a rural community. We have an all male college, Wabash College. We have two rural school corps and one city. Crawfordsville is a safe town. Currently the town is expanding and growing due to a large grant received. Improving our walking trail system, adding a bike path in town, remodeling old building and expanding new ones, along with building some new parks.

Crawfordsville is a wonderful place and the schools are great, they create wonderful opportunities for children. There is little to do though so many people get bored. Drug rates are also through the roof other than that though the crimes are down and everyone in the town is very friendly.
I was born and raised here. It's small, quaint town of about 14,000 people. There are 3 high schools and a college. There are several farming communities in the area. It's an older city, been around since the mid-1800s, and there are several historic sites, such as the Gen. Lew Wallace Study, Old Jail museum, and the Lane Place, named after former Sen. Henry Lane, and the site of the movie, Hoosiers. There's not a lot to do, but it's close to bigger cities such as Lafayette and Indianapolis.
