Coulee Dam Reviews
I how friendly the town is, and that the community is extremely supportive of students and athletes in the town. I've lived here my entire life but the safety is the town is extremely lacking. There are many drug addicts that walk the streets all throughout the day, even more when the sun sets. This factor drives people away from the beautiful town, especially since it is so small, a population of only 3,000. Also, the school system needs some major help. We have plenty of jobs in our town but because of the lofty high school drop out rate, almost 50%, parents would rather commute to their job instead of moving to the town.
Coulee Dam is a run down town that has little money, yet the price of goods are high compared to the inherent value of everything else. For one, the public schools are abysmal. The test scores and post-high school success rates are terrible because of not only the funding, but the quality of teachers that pay little attention to children's needs. Lastly, despite the small residency and low cost of bills, the store prices are through the roof. It is theorized become the town has a huge influx of tourists, however it chokes out the life of all citizens that try to thrive in the town.
A small town, schools are low according to standards and need improvement. There is a lot of outdoors things to do here however if you don’t care for tourism during the summer months and small towns it may be hard. I like the small towns and don’t mind the tourism at all.
